Cooking can be therapeutic at most times. At other times, cooking gives me food… for thought!
Like today while I mixed different spices and ingredients to cook up a great meal, it struck me that sometimes no matter how hard you try, you cannot blend some flavours. You can try all you want and the distinctive flavour will still come through. Then there are other times where an ingredient lends its own touch to the overall taste and/or appearance and blends well with other spices. The final outcome allows that spice to maintain its own identity, yet contribute towards the final effect.
This analogy seemed to sit perfectly with my understanding of multi-culturalism. How? Why? Let’s leave those questions for you. Think of it as your food for thought!
